Admissions – Practical Nursing

Admissions Procedure:

  1. Review all admissions requirements for the nursing program including requirements listed on the Application for Admission.
  2. Confirm with admission department that your high school diploma is accepted by ATS. (Accepted Alternatives)
  3. Schedule an Entrance Exam
  4. Prospective students who achieved a satisfactory score on the entrance exam must:
    1. Submit attestation of high school graduation or its equivalency.  (High school Diploma or GED Alternatives)
    2. Order official college transcripts if you plan to transfer college credits, or submit the same, in person, in an envelope sealed by the school officials.  The Admissions Department will review credits to determine your eligibility for transfer.
    3. Schedule a background check through authorized provider
    4. Complete Financial Aid requirements

After the applicant is notified of acceptance, the applicant must:

  1. Attend the mandatory scheduled orientation session.
  2. Sign an enrollment agreement.
  3. Review and sign all required documents.
  4. Complete documentation for clinical experience based on your plan of study.

Online Entrance Exam Requirements

To be able to take the entrance exam you must:

  • Must have internet access
  • Must have access to a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam
  • Must have a valid State ID or Driver’s License as proof of Identity
