Scholarships & Funding Opportunities
Apart from students loans and grants, there are a number of scholarships and funding opportunities available for nurses to help support their career goals.  Below is a compiled list of scholarships ranging from $500-$2500.


ATS Career Advancement Scholarship
ATS will match your Employer Tuition Reimbursement program up to $2,000. This scholarship is limited to STNA’s/CNA’s who want to continue their education and become an LPN nurse. ATS is offering this scholarship towards educational expenses (i.e. books, uniforms, software) for new students who have completed a state-approved nurse aid training program and are currently working at a healthcare facility.

ATS Presidential Scholarship
ATS Presidential Scholarship is a merit-based award that pays $2100 tuition ($700 per nursing semester) for those prospective students who enter ATS as a full-time 1st semester nursing student (semester without developmental classes). This scholarship does not need to be repaid and is renewable each semester.

S2S Scholarship

The college scholarship program is only for current residents of the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) currently listed on a CHA lease. The applicant must plan to enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution in the fall  as an undergraduate. Accordingly, applicants can include current high school seniors, undergraduate students continuing their studies.  Scholarships cannot be applied to any past debt with your academic institution.

S2S plans to award over 175 undergraduate scholarships of $2,000 each based on each applicant’s academic merit, community involvement, and essay content.
